Hadith 1214
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ: أَنَّ [ ص: 83 ] رَجُلًا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ لِي مَالًا وَعِيَالًا، وَإِنَّ لِأَبِي مَالًا وَعِيَالًا، وَإِنَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ مَالِي فَيُطْعِمَهُ عِيَالَهُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "أَنْتَ وَمَالُكَ لِأَبِيكَ" . أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ جِرَاحِ الْعَمْدِ.
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Munkadir that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "I have wealth and I have children, and my father also has wealth, but he wants to take from my wealth to feed his (other) children." Upon this, the Prophet ﷺ said: "You and your wealth belong to your father."
