Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade temporary marriage (Nikah Mut'ah) and eating the meat of domestic donkeys."

It is narrated from Urwah that Khawlah bint Hakim came to Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "Indeed, Rabee’ah bin Umayyah benefited from a woman born among the Arabs, and that woman became pregnant from him." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) went out, dragging his cloak in distress, and said: "This is Mut’ah. If I had already made a statement about it, I would have stoned him."
