Hadith 1151
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: الزَّانِي لا يَنْكِحُ إِلا زَانِيَةً [النُّورِ: 3] الْآيَةَ، قَالَ: هِيَ مَنْسُوخَةٌ نَسَخَتْهَا وَأَنْكِحُوا الأَيَامَى مِنْكُمْ [النُّورِ: 32] فَهِيَ مِنْ أَيَامَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ.
It is narrated from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding the interpretation of Allah's statement: "A fornicator does not marry except a fornicatress" (__QUR_N__: al-Nur: 3), he said: This verse is abrogated, and it has been abrogated by (Allah's command): "And marry those among you who are single" (__QUR_N__: al-Nur: 32), and these are the unmarried men and women among the Muslims.
Hadith 1152
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: هِيَ مَنْسُوخَةٌ نَسَخَتْهَا وَأَنْكِحُوا الأَيَامَى مِنْكُمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَائِكُمْ [النُّورِ: 32] فَهِيَ مِنْ أَيَامَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ، يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ: الزَّانِي لا يَنْكِحُ إِلا زَانِيَةً [النُّورِ: 3] الْآيَةَ.
It is narrated from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib, may Allah have mercy on him, that he said: This is abrogated, and it has been abrogated by (the verse) "And marry those among you who are single..." and by this is meant the unmarried men and women among the Muslims, that is, the statement of Allah "The adulterer does not marry except an adulteress" is abrogated.
Hadith 1153
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ: فَهُوَ حَكَمٌ بَيْنَهُمَا.
Abdullah bin Abi Yazid narrated from some people of knowledge that they said about this verse: "This is decisive between the two."
Hadith 1154
أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ: أَنَّ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ نَزَلَتْ فِي بَغَايَا مِنْ بَغَايَا الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ كَانَتْ عَلَى مَنَازِلِهِمْ رَايَاتٌ. أَخْرَجَ الْأَوَّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ عِشْرَةِ النِّسَاءِ، وَإِلَى آخِرِ الرَّابِعِ مِنْ كِتَابِ أَحْكَامِ الْقُرْآنِ.
It is narrated from Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) that this verse ﴿The adulterer does not marry...﴾ (An-Nur: 4) was revealed about those adulterous women of the Age of Ignorance who used to erect flags on their houses and commit immorality.
