Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman bin Harith bin Hisham narrates from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: When she came to Madinah, she informed the people of Madinah that she was the daughter of Abu Umayyah bin Mughirah, but they did not believe her and said: "How many lies strangers tell." Until one of them went for Hajj, and he said: Do you want to write a message for your family? She wrote a message and gave it to him. When he returned to Madinah, he confirmed her identity and began to honor her even more than before. She says: When I became lawful (my waiting period ended), the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to me and proposed marriage to me. I said to him: Who would marry someone like me? I will not have (more) children, and I am jealous and have children. He (ﷺ) said: "I am older than you, as for jealousy, Allah will remove it, and children are for Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ)." Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) married her, and when he (ﷺ) would come to her, he would say: "Where is Zunab?" Until Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) came and quickly snatched him (the child) from the lap of Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: He is keeping the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) away, while she (Umm Salamah) was breastfeeding him. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came and said: "Where is Zunab?" Qareebah bint Abu Umayyah, who was present at that time, said: Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) has taken him. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "I will come to you at night." Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I got up and spread the leather mat that is placed under the millstone, and took out barley grains from the jar, then took out fat and squeezed it over them (prepared a dish). She says: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) spent the night and stayed until morning. When morning came, he (ﷺ) said: "Indeed, you have honor among your family, if you wish, I will appoint seven days for you, and if I appoint seven days, I will also appoint seven for my other wives."
