It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "Hijr (i.e., Hatim) is a part of the House of Allah, and Allah Almighty has said: 'And let them circumambulate the Ancient House of Allah.' (__QUR_N__: Al-Hajj: 29) And the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed Tawaf from behind the Hijr (Hatim)."

Narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you know that when your people rebuilt the Ka'bah, they left out the foundation of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Why do you not rebuild it upon the foundation of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If your people were not so close to the time of disbelief, I would have rebuilt it upon its original foundation." Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "If Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (and indeed Aisha did hear it), then I think this is the reason why the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not kiss the two corners adjacent to the Hatim, because the House of Allah was not completed upon the foundations of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)."

Abu Yazid narrated that Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) sent a man to an old man from Banu Zuhrah, so I also came with him to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was in Hatim. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him about the children of the pre-Islamic period of ignorance, so the old man said: "The semen would be from one person, and the child would be born on the bed of another." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "You have spoken the truth, but the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) decided that the child belongs to the owner of the bed." When the old man turned back, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) called him and asked: "Tell me about the construction of the House of Allah (the Ka'bah)?" He said: "The Quraysh collected donations for the construction of the Ka'bah, but they were unable to complete it, so they left some of its part in the Hatim." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: "You have spoken the truth."
