Muhammad bin Abbad bin Ja'far narrated that I saw Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) come to the Black Stone, and his head was dusty. He kissed it, then prostrated on it, then kissed it and prostrated on it, then kissed it and prostrated on it.

Ibn Jurayj narrated that I asked Ata: "Have you seen any of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), may Allah be pleased with them, kiss their hands when they performed istilam?" Ata said: "Yes, I saw Jabir bin Abdullah, Ibn Umar, Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, and Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with them, that when they performed istilam, they also kissed their hands." Ibn Jurayj said: "And Ibn Abbas as well?" Ata said: "Yes, and I think I saw many more." Ibn Jurayj said: "Do you not kiss your hands when you perform istilam?" He said: "(Yes,) but now I do not kiss them."

Manbuz bin Abi Sulaiman narrates from his mother that she was with the Prophet’s ﷺ wife Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) when her freed slave woman came to her and said: “O Mother of the Believers! I performed seven circuits of the House of Allah and touched (the Black Stone) two or three times.” So Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said to her: “May Allah not reward you, may Allah not reward you! Were you pushing away the men? Could you not have just passed by saying takbir?”
