Hadith 866
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "الْمُحْرِمُ لَا يَنْكِحُ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ" .
It is narrated from Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person in the state of ihram should neither marry nor arrange a marriage."
Hadith 867
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ أَحَدِ بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ، عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "لَا يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ" .
It is narrated from Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person in the state of Ihram should neither marry, nor arrange a marriage, nor propose."
Hadith 868
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ أَخِي بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُزَوِّجَ طَلْحَةَ بْنَ عُمَرَ بِنْتَ شَيْبَةَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ لِيَحْضُرَ ذَلِكَ وَهُمَا مُحْرِمَانِ، فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ أَبَانٌ، وَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "لَا يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ" .
It is narrated from Nabiya bin Wahb that Umar bin Ubaidullah intended to marry Talha bin Umar to the daughter of Shaibah bin Jubair, so he sent a message to Aban bin Uthman to participate (in the marriage), and both (the ones to be married) were in the state of ihram. Aban refused to participate and said: I heard Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) say that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Neither should a person in ihram marry, nor arrange a marriage, nor propose."
Hadith 869
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ مَعْنَاهُ.
Through another chain from Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), a hadith with similar meaning to the previous hadith is narrated from the Prophet (ﷺ).
Hadith 870
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: لَا يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ وَلَا عَلَى غَيْرِهِ.
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: "A person in the state of Ihram should neither marry, nor arrange a marriage for someone else, nor propose, nor arrange a proposal for someone else."
Hadith 871
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ أَبِي غَطَفَانَ بْنِ طَرِيفٍ الْمُرِّيِّ: أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ: أَنَّ أَبَاهُ طَرِيفًا تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ، فَرَدَّ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ نِكَاحَهُ. أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنَ الْجُزْءِ الثَّانِي مِنَ اخْتِلَافِ الْحَدِيثِ، وَإِلَى آخِرِ السَّادِسِ مِنْ بَابِ الشِّغَارِ.
It is narrated from Abu Ghatfan bin Tarif Al-Mari that he reported his father Tarif married a woman while in the state of Ihram, so Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) annulled their marriage.
