It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he reported from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel for a day and night without a mahram."

It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say in a sermon: "No man should be alone with a woman, and it is not permissible for a woman to travel except with a mahram (close male relative)." A man stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah! My name has been registered for such-and-such battle, while my wife has gone for Hajj?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Go and perform Hajj with your wife."

Ja'far bin Muhammad narrates from his father that he said: Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to us a hadith, and he was describing the Hajj (Farewell Pilgrimage) of the Prophet ﷺ. He said: When we reached the place of Dhul-Hulaifah, Asma bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her) gave birth to a child, so the Prophet ﷺ ordered her to perform ghusl (ritual bath) and to enter into ihram.

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) who states: "A woman will not wear clothes scented with perfume, and she may wear yellow-colored clothes, because in my opinion, yellow color does not have fragrance."

It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: "A woman will wear a large sheet and she will not do it in this way." Ata says, I asked, what will she not do? So he gestured to me, in the way a woman takes a scarf. Then he indicated the scarf that is on the cheek and said: "She will not cover her face with it, and the extra sheet will hang over her face in the way that it naturally hangs. She will neither turn it over, nor put it on, nor join it."

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that he used to give the verdict to women that they should cut their socks while in Ihram. Until Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) informed him through Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she used to give the verdict to women that they should not cut their socks. After that, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) abandoned his verdict.

It is narrated from Safiyyah bint Shaybah that she said: I was with Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) when a woman from the women of Banu Abdud-Dar came, who was called Tamlik. She said: "O Mother of the Believers! My such-and-such daughter has sworn an oath that she will not wear her jewelry during the (Hajj) season." So Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Tell her that the Mother of the Believers adjures her by oath to wear all her jewelry."
