It is narrated from Ya'la bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him), he states: "We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) at Ji'ranah when a man came to him who was wearing a cloak and was scented with khaluq. He said: O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! I have entered into ihram for 'umrah and I am wearing this (cloak). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) asked him: What would you do regarding this in the performance of your Hajj? The man said: I would take off this cloak and wash off the khaluq. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Do as you would do in your Hajj, do the same in your 'umrah." (That is, take off the cloak and remove the effect of the khaluq.)
