Hadith 785
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّ عَلِيًّا كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ يَوْمَ الْعِيدَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ.
Ja'far bin Muhammad narrates from his father that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) used to perform ghusl (ritual bath) on the days of Eid, on Fridays, on the day of Arafah, and when he intended to enter into the state of Ihram.
Hadith 786
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِإِحْرَامِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ، وَلِحِلِّهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ.
Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): She said that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would enter into the state of Ihram, I used to apply perfume to him for his Ihram, and likewise, before he became lawful after performing the Tawaf of Ziyarat of the House of Allah.
Hadith 787
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، وَبَسَطَتْ يَدَيْهَا تَقُولُ: أَنَا طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ لِإِحْرَامِهِ حِينَ أَحْرَمَ، وَلِحِلِّهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ.
Abdur Rahman bin Qasim narrates from his father, who narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and she spread both her hands and said: I applied perfume with these two hands of mine to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for Ihram when he assumed Ihram, and likewise for becoming lawful (halal) before performing the Tawaf of Ziyarat of the House of Allah.
Hadith 788
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ لِحُرْمِهِ حِينَ أَحْرَمَ، وَلِحِلِّهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ.
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I applied perfume with my own hands to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for Ihram when he entered into Ihram, and likewise for becoming lawful (halal) after the circumambulation (Tawaf) of the House of Allah, before he became lawful.
Hadith 789
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، تَقُولُ: طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحُرْمِهِ وَلِحِلِّهِ، فَقُلْتُ لَهَا: بِأَيِّ الطِّيبِ؟ فَقَالَتْ: بِأَطْيَبِ الطِّيبِ. قَالَ عُثْمَانُ: مَا رَوَى هِشَامٌ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا عَنِّي.
Urwah narrates that I heard Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) say: I applied perfume to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for entering into Ihram and for coming out of Ihram. Urwah says: I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "Which perfume?" She replied: "The best perfume." Uthman says: Hisham did not narrate this hadith from anyone except me.
Hadith 790
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ وَبِيصَ الطِّيبِ فِي مَفَارِقِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ.
Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: I saw the shine of fragrance in the parting of the hair of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) three days after (he had entered into) Ihram.
Hadith 791
أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مُحْرِمًا، وَإِنَّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ مِثْلَ الرُّبِّ مِنَ الْغَالِيَةِ.
Hasan bin Zaid narrates from his father, who said: I saw Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) in the state of Ihram, and there was fragrance on his head like syrup.
Hadith 792
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ: أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتَ سَعِيدٍ تَقُولُ: طَيَّبْتُ أَبِي عِنْدَ إِحْرَامِهِ بِالْمِسْكِ وَالذَّرِيرَةِ. أَخْرَجَ الْأَوَّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْعِيدَيْنِ وَإِلَى آخِرِ الثَّامِنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْمَنَاسِكِ.
Aisha bint Saeed says: I applied musk and zareerah (types of fragrance) to my father at the time of Ihram.
