Hadith 719
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الثِّقَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّهُ قَالَ: لَيْسَ فِي الْعَرْضِ زَكَاةٌ إِلَّا أَنْ يُرَادَ بِهِ التِّجَارَةُ.
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: There is no zakat on wealth until there is an intention of trade.
Hadith 720
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَلِي بَنَاتِ أَخِيهَا يَتَامَى فِي حِجْرِهَا، لَهُنَّ الْحُلِيُّ فَلَا تُخْرِجُ مِنْهُ الزَّكَاةَ.
It is narrated from Qasim bin Muhammad from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the orphaned daughters of her brother were under her care and they also had jewelry, but she did not take out zakat from it.
Hadith 721
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ مُؤَمَّلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا كَانَتْ تُحَلِّي بَنَاتِ أَخِيهَا الذَّهَبَ فَكَانَتْ لَا تُخْرِجُ زَكَاتَهُ.
It is narrated from Ibn Abi Mulaykah that Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to adorn her brother's daughters with gold jewelry and did not pay zakat on it.
Hadith 722
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ عَلَى بَنَاتِهِ وَجَوَارِيهِ الذَّهَبُ ثُمَّ لَا يُخْرِجُ مِنْهُ الزَّكَاةَ.
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that his daughters and young girls used to have gold (in the form of jewelry) and he did not take out zakat from it.
Hadith 723
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا يَسْأَلُ جَابِرَ [ ص: 157 ] بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْحُلِيِّ أَفِيهِ الزَّكَاةُ؟ فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ: لَا، فَقَالَ: وَإِنْ كَانَ يَبْلُغُ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ، فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ: كَثِيرٌ.
Amr bin Dinar narrates that I heard a man asking Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), "Is there zakat on jewelry?" He replied, "No." The man said, "Even if (the jewelry) reaches one thousand dinars?" Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "Even if it is more than that, still no."
Hadith 724
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ مِنَ الْوَرِقِ صَدَقَةٌ" .
It is narrated from Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Zakat is not obligatory on silver less than five awqiyah."
Hadith 725
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ [ ص: 158 ] أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ صَدَقَةٌ" .
Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no zakat on less than five awqiyah."
Hadith 726
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيُّ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ. أَخْرَجَ الثَّمَانِيَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الزَّكَاةِ.
This hadith is also narrated in the same manner through another chain of transmission.
