Hadith 713
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "ابْتَغُوا فِي مَالِ الْيَتِيمِ أَوْ فِي مَالِ الْيَتَامَى لَا [ ص: 154 ] تُذْهِبُهَا وَلَا تَسْتَأْصِلُهَا الزَّكَاةُ" .
It is narrated from Yusuf bin Mahak (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Invest the wealth of the orphan in trade, lest zakat consumes and finishes it."
Hadith 714
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: كَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَلِينِي أَنَا وَأَخَوَيْنِ لِي يَتِيمَيْنِ فِي حِجْرِهَا فَكَانَتْ تُخْرِجُ مِنْ أَمْوَالِنَا الزَّكَاةَ.
Abdur Rahman bin Qasim narrates from his father that he said: The wife of the Prophet ﷺ, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), used to take care of me and my two brothers who were orphans, and she used to give zakat from our wealth.
Hadith 715
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا - تَلِينِي وَأَخًا لِي فِي حِجْرِهَا فَكَانَتْ تُخْرِجُ مِنْ أَمْوَالِنَا الزَّكَاةَ.
Abdur Rahman bin Qasim narrates from his father that he said: Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to raise me and my brother, and she would give zakat from our wealth.
Hadith 716
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُزَكِّي مَالَ الْيَتِيمِ.
It is narrated from Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he used to give zakat from the wealth of the orphan.
Hadith 717
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: ابْتَغُوا [ ص: 155 ] فِي أَمْوَالِ الْيَتَامَى لَا تَسْتَهْلِكُهَا الزَّكَاةُ.
It is narrated from Amr bin Dinar that Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Invest the wealth of orphans in trade, lest zakat consumes it.
Hadith 718
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى وَيَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ وَعَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُخَارِقِ، كُلُّهُمْ يُخْبِرُهُ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا تُزَكِّي أَمْوَالَنَا، وَإِنَّهُ لَيُتَّجَرُ بِهَا فِي الْبَحْرَيْنِ. أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ الزَّكَاةِ، وَإِلَى آخِرِ السَّادِسِ مِنْ كِتَابِ جِرَاحِ الْعَمْدِ.
It is narrated from Qasim bin Muhammad who says that Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to give zakat from our wealth and trade was conducted with it in Bahrain.
