Hadith 671
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ: أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَبْعَثُ بِزَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ إِلَى الَّذِي تَجْتَمِعُ عِنْدَهُ قَبْلَ الْفِطْرِ بِيَوْمَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةٍ.
It is narrated from Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) that Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to send the Sadaqat al-Fitr to the collector one or two days before Eid al-Fitr.
Hadith 672
وَبِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَبْعَثُ بِزَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ إِلَى الَّذِي تَجْتَمِعُ عِنْدَهُ قَبْلَ الْفِطْرِ بِيَوْمَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةٍ. أَخْرَجَ الْأَوَّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الزَّكَاةِ، وَالثَّانِي فِي كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ مَالِكٍ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ.
With this same chain, it is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that they used to send the Sadaqat al-Fitr to the collector one or two days before.
