Hadith 596
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: نَعَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلنَّاسِ النَّجَاشِيَّ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ، وَخَرَجَ بِهِمْ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى وَصَفَّ بِهِمْ، وَكَبَّرَ أَرْبَعَ تَكْبِيرَاتٍ.
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he stated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) informed the people of the death of Najashi on the very day he passed away. Then he went to the place of prayer with the people and performed the funeral prayer in congregation with four takbirs.
Hadith 597
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَعَى لِلنَّاسِ النَّجَاشِيَّ فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ، وَخَرَجَ بِهِمْ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى فَصَفَّ بِهِمْ وَكَبَّرَ أَرْبَعَ تَكْبِيرَاتٍ.

Hadith 598
قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ فِي كِتَابِهِ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنَّهُ كَبَّرَ عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ أَرْبَعًا. أَخْرَجَ الْأَوَّلَ فِي كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ مَالِكٍ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ وَالثَّانِيَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْجَنَائِزِ وَالثَّالِثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ عَلِيٍّ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ مِمَّا لَمْ يَسْمَعِ الرَّبِيعُ مِنَ الشَّافِعِيِّ.
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said four takbirs over Najashi (at his funeral prayer).
