Hadith 580
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْجِنَازَةَ، فَقُومُوا لَهَا حَتَّى تُخَلِّفَكُمْ أَوْ تُوضَعَ" .
Aamir bin Rabee’ah narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you see a funeral procession, stand up for it (and remain standing) until the funeral passes by you or it is placed down.
Hadith 581
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ وَاقِدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُومُ فِي الْجَنَائِزِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ.
It is narrated from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to stand for funerals, then he would sit down.
Hadith 582
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ وَاقِدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُومُ فِي الْجِنَازَةِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ.
It is narrated from Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to stand for funerals, then later he sat down.
Hadith 583
أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ أَوْ شَبِيهًا بِهَذَا، وَقَالَ: قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأُمِرْنَا بِالْقِيَامِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَأُمِرْنَا بِالْجُلُوسِ. أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ الْحَدِيثِ، وَالثَّالِثَ وَالرَّابِعَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْجَنَائِزِ.
Alqamah narrates that (for the funeral) the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stood up and instructed us to stand as well, then he sat down and instructed us to sit as well.
