It is narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he stated: The Prophet ﷺ would deliver two sermons standing on the day of Jumu'ah, and he would separate them by sitting in between.

From another chain, it is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) from the Prophet ﷺ in a similar manner.

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him), Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them) used to deliver two sermons on the pulpit on Friday, and they would separate the two sermons by sitting in between, until Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) delivered the first sermon while sitting and the second sermon while standing.

It is narrated from Umm Hisham bint Harithah bin Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with her) that she stated: She heard the Prophet ﷺ reciting Surah Qaf on the pulpit on the day of Jumu'ah, and she memorized it due to the Prophet ﷺ frequently reciting it on the pulpit on the day of Jumu'ah.

It is narrated from Husayn bin Muhammad bin Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah have mercy on him, that Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, during his sermon on the pulpit on Friday, would recite Surah At-Takwir from ﴿إِذَاالشَّمْسُكُوِّرَتْ﴾ to ﴿عَلِمَتْنَفْسٌمَاأَحْضَرَتْ﴾ and then complete the Surah.

It is narrated from Ibn Jurayj (may Allah have mercy on him), who reports: I asked Ata bin Abi Rabah (may Allah have mercy on him), "When the Prophet ﷺ delivered the sermon, did he stand leaning on a staff?" Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said, "Yes, he ﷺ would stand leaning firmly on it."
