Hadith 420
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "لَا يُقِيمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ ثُمَّ يَخْلُفُ فِيهِ، وَلَكِنْ تَفَسَّحُوا وَتَوَسَّعُوا" .
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) who states that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "None of you should make anyone get up from his place so that he himself may sit there, but rather make room and create space."
Hadith 421
أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ" .
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "When any one of you gets up from his place on Friday and then returns, he is more entitled to that place (from which he got up)."
Hadith 422
أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "لَا يَعْمَدِ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ فَيُقِيمَهُ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ ثُمَّ يَقْعُدَ فِيهِ" .
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "None of you should make another person get up from his place so that he himself may sit there."
Hadith 423
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى: عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَا يُقِيمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلِ: افْسَحُوا . أَخْرَجَ الْأَرْبَعَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ إِيجَابِ الْجُمُعَةِ.
It is narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "None of you should make his brother get up from his place on Friday (during the sermon), rather he should say: Make room (for others)."
