Hadith 340
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَافَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ آمِنًا لَا يَخَافُ إِلَّا اللَّهَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ. قَالَ الْأَصَمُّ: أَظُنُّهُ سَقَطَ مِنْ كِتَابَيِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ.
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he stated: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) traveled between Makkah and Madinah in a state of security; he did not fear anyone except Allah, yet he performed two rak‘ahs of prayer (i.e., he shortened the prayer).
Hadith 341
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: سَافَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ آمِنًا لَا يَخَافُ إِلَّا اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ.
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he stated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) traveled between Makkah and Madinah in a state of security; he did not fear anyone except Allah Almighty, and he would perform two rak‘ahs of prayer.
Hadith 342
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: سَافَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ آمِنًا لَا يَخَافُ إِلَّا اللَّهَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ.
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he stated: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) traveled between Makkah and Madinah in a state of security; he did not fear anyone except Allah, and (during this journey) he would perform two rak‘ahs of prayer.
Hadith 343
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الظُّهْرَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَرْبَعًا، وَصَلَّيْتُ الْعَصْرَ مَعَهُ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ.
It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) who states: I offered four rak'ahs of Zuhr prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ) in Madinah, and at the place of Dhu'l-Hulaifah, I offered two rak'ahs (shortened) of Asr prayer.
Hadith 344
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، يَعْنِي: ابْنَ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ: أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ [ ص: 327 ] رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ.
It is narrated from Ibn al-Munkadir that he heard Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate similar to the previous hadith.
Hadith 345
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ بِمِثْلِ ذَلِكَ. أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْأَمَالِي وَالثَّالِثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ الْحَدِيثِ وَإِلَى آخِرِ السَّادِسِ مِنْ كِتَابِ اسْتِقْبَالِ الْقِبْلَةِ.
It is narrated in a similar manner from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) through another chain of transmission.
