Hadith 292
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: الْأَئِمَّةُ ضُمَنَاءُ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُونَ أُمَنَاءُ، فَأَرْشَدَ اللَّهُ الْأَئِمَّةَ، وَغَفَرَ لِلْمُؤَذِّنِينَ .
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The imam is responsible for the prayer of those who follow him, and the muezzin is trustworthy. Allah has guided the imams and forgiven the muezzins."
Hadith 293
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "الْإِمَامُ ضَامِنٌ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ، اللَّهُمَّ فَأَرْشِدِ الْأَئِمَّةَ، وَاغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤَذِّنِينَ" . أَخْرَجَ الْأَوَّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اسْتِقْبَالِ الْقِبْلَةِ، وَالثَّانِيَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْإِمَامَةِ.
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The imam is responsible for the prayer of those who follow him, and the muezzin is trustworthy. O Allah! Guide the imams, and forgive the muezzins."
