It is narrated from the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), that she stated: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would finish the prayer with salam, the women would stand up as soon as the salam was completed, and the Prophet ﷺ would remain seated in his place for a short while. Ibn Shihab said: We think that he ﷺ did so for this reason—and full knowledge is with Allah alone—so that the women could leave, and the men would not reach them after finishing the prayer.

Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to turn to the right and to the left after the prayer.

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) who says: "None of you should ever allocate a share for Satan in his prayer by considering it necessary to turn only to the right side, whereas I have often seen the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) turning to his left side."
