It is narrated from Abu Qilabah (may Allah have mercy on him) that he stated: Malik bin Huwairith (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us. He prayed in our mosque and said: "By Allah! I would not have prayed, nor did I intend to pray, but I wanted to show you how I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) praying." He stated that he (ﷺ) would stand from the first rak'ah, and when he intended to rise, Abu Qilabah says, I asked: How? (Did he bend?) Malik bin Huwairith replied: "Like the way I performed this prayer."

It is narrated from Abu Qilabah, may Allah have mercy on him, in a manner similar to the previous hadith, except that in this one he said: "When Malik bin Huwairith, may Allah be pleased with him, would raise his head from the last prostration of the first rak'ah, he would sit upright (i.e., perform the sitting of rest), then he would stand up by leaning on the ground."
