Hadith 211
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ" .
It is narrated from ‘Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The prayer of that person is not valid who did not recite Surah Al-Fatihah (in the prayer).”
Hadith 212
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "كُلُّ صَلَاةٍ لَمْ يُقْرَأْ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْكِتَابِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ" . أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ اسْتِقْبَالِ الْقِبْلَةِ.
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every prayer in which Umm al-Kitab (Al-Fatiha) is not recited is incomplete, it is incomplete."
