Hadith 185
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "لَا يُصَلِّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ لَيْسَ عَلَى عَاتِقَيْهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ" .
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "None of you should pray in a single garment in such a way that nothing is on his shoulders."
Hadith 186
أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَّافُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ وَالدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّا نَكُونُ فِي الصَّيْدِ أَفَيُصَلِّي أَحَدُنَا فِي الْقَمِيصِ الْوَاحِدِ؟ قَالَ: "نَعَمْ، وَلْيَزُرَّهُ، وَلَوْ لَمْ يَجِدْ إِلَّا أَنْ يَخُلَّهُ بِشَوْكَةٍ" .
It is narrated from Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: “I said, O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), we are out hunting, can we pray in a single shirt?” He (ﷺ) said: “Yes, and sew it. If you cannot do that, then fasten it with a thorn.”
Hadith 187
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي [ ص: 251 ] هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "لَا يُصَلِّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ لَيْسَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ" .
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you should pray in a garment in such a way that nothing is on his shoulder."
Hadith 188
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي مِرْطٍ بَعْضُهُ عَلَيَّ وَبَعْضُهُ عَلَيْهِ، وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ. أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْوُضُوءِ، وَالثَّالِثَ وَالرَّابِعَ مِنَ الْجُزْءِ الثَّانِي مِنَ اخْتِلَافِ الْحَدِيثِ.
It is narrated from the noble wife of the Prophet ﷺ, Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), that she states: "The Prophet ﷺ would pray in a single garment, part of which would be on me and part on him, while I was in the state of menstruation."
