Hadith 182
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي صَلَاةً مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ كَاعْتِرَاضِ الْجِنَازَةِ.
Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray at night and I would be lying between him and the Qiblah in such a way as a body is placed in a bier (funeral)."
Hadith 183
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْأَبْطَحِ فَخَرَجَ بِلَالٌ بِالْعَنَزَةِ فَرَكَزَهَا فَصَلَّى إِلَيْهَا، وَالْكَلْبُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ وَالْحِمَارُ يَمُرُّونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ.
It is narrated from Abu Juhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) at the place of Abtah (performing prayer). Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came with a spear and planted it, so the Prophet (ﷺ) performed prayer using it as a sutrah, while a dog, a woman, and a donkey would pass in front of him."
Hadith 184
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: أَقْبَلْتُ رَاكِبًا عَلَى أَتَانٍ، وَأَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ قَدْ أَرْهَقْتُ الِاحْتِلَامَ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ، فَمَرَرْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الصَّفِّ، فَنَزَلْتُ وَأَرْسَلْتُ حِمَارِي تَرْتَعُ، وَدَخَلْتُ الصَّفَّ فَلَمْ يُنْكِرْ ذَلِكَ عَلَيَّ أَحَدٌ. أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْإِمَامَةِ، وَالثَّالِثَ مِنَ الْجُزْءِ الثَّانِي مِنَ اخْتِلَافِ الْحَدِيثِ.
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) who states: "I came riding on a donkey, and at that time I was close to reaching puberty, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was leading the people in prayer. I passed in front of the row, dismounted, and let the donkey graze, and then joined the row (of worshippers). No one objected to me for this."
