Hadith 173
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "الْمُؤَذِّنُونَ أُمَنَاءُ النَّاسِ عَلَى صَلَاتِهِمْ" . وَذَكَرَ مَعَهَا غَيْرَهَا. أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ اسْتِقْبَالِ الْقِبْلَةِ.
It is narrated from Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The callers to prayer are trustees over the prayers of the people."
