Hadith 167
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ لَهُ: إِنِّي أَرَاكَ تُحِبُّ الْغَنَمَ وَالْبَادِيَةَ، وَإِذَا كُنْتَ فِي غَنَمِكَ أَوْ بَادِيَتِكَ فَأَذَّنْتَ بِالصَّلَاةِ، فَارْفَعْ صَوْتَكَ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَسْمَعُ مَدَى صَوْتِكَ جِنٌّ وَلَا إِنْسٌ وَلَا شَيْءٌ إِلَّا شَهِدَ لَكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ. قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ: سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ اسْتِقْبَالِ الْقِبْلَةِ.
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Sa’sa’ah (may Allah have mercy on him) that Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: “I see that you like sheep and the wilderness. When you are among your sheep or in the wilderness and you call the adhan for prayer, then raise your voice, for whatever hears the sound of your voice, whether a jinn, a human, or anything else, will bear witness for you on the Day of Resurrection.” Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “I heard this from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).”
