It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he states: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would perform the Asr prayer while the sun was still white and shining. Then, if someone set out towards Awali (the settlements located on the upper side outside of Madinah), he would reach there and the sun would still be high.

It is narrated from Naufal bin Muawiyah Al-Daylami (may Allah be pleased with him) that he states: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever misses the Asr prayer, it is as if his wealth and his family have been destroyed."
