Hadith 85
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ فَانْقَطَعَ عِقْدٌ لِي، فَأَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْتِمَاسِهِ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُمْ مَاءٌ، فَنَزَلَتْ آيَةُ التَّيَمُّمِ.
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: We were on a journey with the Prophet (ﷺ) when my necklace broke (got lost), so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stayed to look for it, while the people of the caravan had no water with them, so the verse of tayammum was revealed.
Hadith 86
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ، قَالَ: تَيَمَّمْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمَنَاكِبِ.
Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We performed tayammum up to the shoulders with the Prophet (ﷺ).
Hadith 87
أَخْبَرَنَا الثِّقَةُ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَنَزَلَتْ آيَةُ التَّيَمُّمِ، فَتَيَمَّمْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمَنَاكِبِ.
It is narrated from Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We were on a journey with the Prophet (ﷺ) when the verse of tayammum was revealed, so we performed tayammum up to the shoulders with the Prophet (ﷺ).
Hadith 88
أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحُوَيْرِثِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنِ ابْنِ الصِّمَّةِ، قَالَ: مَرَرْتُ بِالنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَبُولُ، فَتَمَسَّحَ بِجِدَارٍ، ثُمَّ يَمَّمَ وَجْهَهُ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ.
Ibn Sammah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I passed by the Prophet ﷺ while he was urinating. (After finishing,) he touched the wall, then performed tayammum on his face and arms.
Hadith 89
أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحُوَيْرِثِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنِ ابْنِ الصِّمَّةِ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَيَمَّمَ فَمَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ. أَخْرَجَ الْأَرْبَعَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ الْحَدِيثِ، وَالْخَامِسَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْوُضُوءِ.
Ibn Sammah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped his face and hands in tayammum.
