Hadith 856

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that he used to give the verdict to women that they should cut their socks while in Ihram. Until Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) informed him through Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she used to give the verdict to women that they should not cut their socks. After that, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) abandoned his verdict.
