أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الْمُهَاجِرُ أَبُو مَخْلَدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنَّهُ رَخَّصَ لِلْمُسَافِرِ أَنْ يَمْسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيَهُنَّ، وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً.
It is narrated from Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) granted concession to the traveler to wipe over the leather socks for three days and three nights, and to the resident for one day and one night.
