أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، وَزَكَرِيَّا، وَيُونُسَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَنَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، إِنْ أَدْخَلْتَهَا وَهُمَا طَاهِرَتَانِ.
It is narrated from Mughira bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him), he states: I said, “O Messenger of Allah! Can we wipe over the leather socks?” He ﷺ said: “Yes, provided you put them on while in a state of ablution.”
