Hadith 690

Muhammad bin Yahya bin Hibban narrates that two men from the Ashja‘ tribe told him that Muhammad bin Maslamah Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) used to come to them to collect zakat, and he would say to the owner of the wealth: "Bring the zakat property." Whenever a goat, for which it was necessary to fulfill the due right, was brought, he would accept it.
