Hadith 688

أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: "فَهُوَ يُوَسِّعُهَا وَلَا تَتَوَسَّعُ" . أَخْرَجَ الثَّلَاثَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الزَّكَاةِ.
Through another chain, it is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) in a similar manner, but in it the words are: "that he tries to widen it, but is not able to do so."
