أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ: أَنَّ أَبَاهُ دَعَا نَفَرًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْوَلِيمَةِ فَأَتَاهُ فِيهِمْ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ، وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: فَبَارَكَ وَانْصَرَفَ.
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) that his father invited a group of the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of the Prophet ﷺ to a wedding feast (walimah). The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) came, and among them was Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him). The narrator says: I think that Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) supplicated for blessing and then left.
