Hadith 544

أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنَّ الشَّمْسَ كَسَفَتْ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. فَوَصَفَتْ صَلَاتَهُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ.
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she reported from the Prophet (ﷺ) that when the sun was eclipsed, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed prayer. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) described the way he prayed: he performed two rak'ahs and in each rak'ah he performed two bowings (ruku).
