أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبَّادَ بْنَ تَمِيمٍ يُخْبِرُ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ، يَقُولُ: خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي، فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ.
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid Al-Mazani (may Allah be pleased with him) that he stated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to the Eid ground to perform the prayer for seeking rain. He faced the Qiblah, turned his cloak inside out, and offered two units of prayer.
