Hadith 511

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ: إِنَّا لَنَذْبَحُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنْ ضَحَايَانَا، ثُمَّ نَتَزَوَّدُ بَقِيَّتَهَا إِلَى الْبَصْرَةِ. أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ الْحَدِيثِ وَالثَّالِثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الرِّسَالَةِ.
Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: With Allah’s help, we would slaughter as many animals as we could, and then take the remainder to Basra.
