Hadith 484

أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ: أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يُصَلِّي يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ [ ص: 47 ] وَلَا بَعْدَهَا. أَخْرَجَ الْأَرْبَعَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْعِيدَيْنِ، وَالْخَامِسَ فِي كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ مَالِكٍ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ.
It is narrated from Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) that Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would not perform any prayer on the day of Eid al-Fitr before the Eid prayer nor after it.
