أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْعِيدَيْنِ بِالْمُصَلَّى لَمْ يُصَلِّ قَبْلَهَا وَلَا بَعْدَهَا شَيْئًا ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ إِلَى النِّسَاءِ فَخَطَبَهُنَّ قَائِمًا، وَأَمَرَ بِالصَّدَقَةِ، قَالَ: فَجَعَلَ النِّسَاءُ يَتَصَدَّقْنَ بِالْقُرْطِ وَأَشْبَاهِهِ.
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he states: The Prophet (ﷺ) offered the Eid prayer in the Eidgah on the days of Eid; he did not offer any prayer before it nor after it. Then he came to the women and delivered a sermon to them while standing and instructed them to give charity. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The women gave their earrings and other items as charity.
