أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي صَفْوَانُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَطْعَمُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ إِلَى الْجَبَّانِ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَيَأْمُرُ بِهِ. أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْعِيدَيْنِ.
Safwan bin Salim narrates that the Prophet ﷺ used to eat something before going out to the Eidgah on the day of Eid al-Fitr, and he would also instruct others to do so.
