أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَطَاءِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: "الْفِطْرُ يَوْمَ تُفْطِرُونَ، وَالْأَضْحَى يَوْمَ تُضَحُّونَ" . أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْعِيدَيْنِ، وَهُوَ أَوَّلُ حَدِيثٍ فِيهِ.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Eid al-Fitr is the day when you break your fast, and Eid al-Adha is the day when you offer sacrifices."
