Ja'far bin Muhammad narrates from his father that the Prophet ﷺ was delivering the Friday sermon. There was a market called "Bathaa" where people from the tribe of Banu Sulaym would bring their horses, camels, cows, and ghee to sell. They came at the time of Friday, so people went out towards this market, leaving the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing. And when someone among the Ansar would get married, they would beat the drum; this was entertainment for them. So Allah Almighty reproached them for this, saying: "And when they see a trade or amusement, they rush towards it and leave you standing."
