أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِخَمْسِ رَكَعَاتٍ، لَا يَجْلِسُ وَلَا يُسَلِّمُ إِلَّا فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْهُنَّ.
Narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to pray five rak'ahs of Witr, sitting for Tashahhud only in the last rak'ah, and then he would say the Salam.
