It is narrated from Ismail bin Abdur Rahman bin Abi Dhi’b Al-Asadi that he reports: We went with Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) towards the place of Jamaa, the sun had set, and we were afraid to say to him to dismount from the mounts so that we could pray. When the whiteness of the sky disappeared and the initial darkness of the night came, he dismounted from his mount and prayed three rak‘ahs, then gave salam, then prayed two rak‘ahs and gave salam, then addressing us he said: “I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) do this.”
