Hadith 359

وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ يُصَلِّي مَعَ الْفَرِيضَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ شَيْئًا قَبْلَهَا وَلَا بَعْدَهَا إِلَّا مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ. أَخْرَجَ الْأَوَّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اسْتِقْبَالِ الْقِبْلَةِ وَالثَّانِيَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ الْحَدِيثِ وَالثَّالِثَ وَالرَّابِعَ فِي كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ مَالِكٍ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ.
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that during travel he would not perform anything before or after the obligatory prayer, except for the Tahajjud prayer.
