أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانٍ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بِالنَّاسِ فَوَجَدَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خِفَّةً فَجَاءَ، فَقَعَدَ إِلَى جَنْبِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، فَأَمَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ، وَأَمَّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّاسَ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ.
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) to lead the people in prayer. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) felt better, he came and sat down beside Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) in prayer while he was sitting, and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) led the people in prayer while standing.
