It is narrated from Mahmood bin Rabee’ (may Allah have mercy on him) that ‘Itbaan bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) was the imam of his people and he was blind. He submitted to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): “I am a blind man and (sometimes) there is darkness, rain, and flood, so O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Please pray at some place in my house so that I may make it a place of prayer.” Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came and said: “Where would you like me to pray?” He pointed to a place in the house, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed there.
