Hadith 1814

قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ: وَقَدْ رَوَيْتُ أَحَادِيثَ مُرْسَلَةً عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْعُقُوبَاتِ وَتَوْقِيتِهَا تَرَكْنَاهَا لِانْقِطَاعِهَا. أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ الصَّيْدِ وَالذَّبَائِحِ، وَهُمَا آخِرُ مَا فِيهِ، وَالثَّالِثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْجَنَائِزِ، وَهُوَ آخِرُ مَا فِيهِ.
Muhammad bin Idris (Shafi'i), may Allah have mercy on him, said: "I have narrated mursal ahadith from the Prophet ﷺ regarding punishments and the determination of their times, but we have abandoned them only because of their being disconnected."
