Hadith 1803

أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: لَمْ يَزَلْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ حَتَّى أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: فِيمَ أَنْتَ مِنْ ذِكْرَاهَا [النَّازِعَاتِ: 43] ، فَانْتَهَى. أَخْرَجَ الْأَرْبَعَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ أَحْكَامِ الْقُرْآنِ، وَالْخَامِسَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الرِّسَالَةِ.
Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was constantly asked about the Hour until Allah the Exalted revealed this verse: "What concern is it of yours to declare it?" (Surah An-Nazi'at: 43).
