أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ بِإِسْنَادٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "لَا يُمْسِكَنَّ النَّاسُ عَلَيَّ شَيْئًا فَإِنِّي لَا أُحِلُّ إِلَّا مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ وَلَا أُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَّا مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ" . أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ الرِّسَالَةِ، وَالثَّالِثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْيَمِينِ مَعَ الشَّاهِدِ وَالرَّابِعَ مِنْ كِتَابِ صِفَةِ أَمْرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَهُوَ أَوَّلُ حَدِيثٍ فِيهِ.
Ibn Uyaynah (may Allah have mercy on him) reported with a chain that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "People should not cling to my words, for I declare lawful only that which Allah has made lawful for them, and I declare unlawful only that which Allah has made unlawful for them."
